Abstract

This work analyses the «Unbreakable Vow» as developed in the plot of the novel Harry Potter and the Half-Blood Prince from a legal and ontological perspective. In particular, the relationship between magic and law is investigated in light of social ontol- ogy and is compared to Roman law’s obligationes verbis contractae.
